Dementia Care
ü Understand that every client with dementia has a unique and individual identity:-
Ø Behavioral changes – such as agitation, depression, anxiety.
Ø With or without Chronic diseases, gastric tube care, catheter care, wound care, etc.
Ø Help around the house for elderly, chronically ill or disabled.
ü Develop individualized care plan, aiming to :-
Ø record the specific types of behavior,
Ø improve the home environment,
Ø introduce appropriate active or passive exercise,
Ø ensure home safety and prevent fall,
Ø provide medical / nursing cares, and general personal care,
Ø improve the quality of life,
Ø encourage client lives with dignity.
ü Help to create a positive social environment to better experience [BA1] well-being.
ü Early detection of any deterioration in cognitive functioning.
ü Assist in personal cares, such as meals, medication, medical needs, body cleanliness, exercise and sleep.
